Life is not easy and it is not meant to be. Life throws challenges at us, puts up roadblocks, causes pain and anxiety, and teaches us about loss and misery.

And all of that is there to push us to learn and grow, because who is going to voluntarily grow when life is happy and wonderful.

So, understanding life is hard and meant to push us, does not mean it is always easy to get back up after we have been pushed to the ground again and again.

Look on the bright side. We already established that life is not easy and it is meant to push you and make you grow. How you choose to deal with those obstacles is huge. If you let everything that comes your way bring you down you really won’t learn anything. However, if you choose to look at the challenges in life as a lesson life is trying to teach you then you are well on your way to finding the bright side.

The other piece is to learn from your mistakes. If you screwed up, accept that, learn from it and vow not to make the same mistake again. That helps you gain control of the situation and works on re-building your self-esteem.

The same applies to the people you surround yourself with. If you have friends you encourage you and tell you, you can do anything, you are more likely to feel like you can do anything. So, read inspiring stories and surround yourself with people who care about you and want to see you succeed.
